Always be wary of a locksmith company that is un-willing to provide any rough costs, or gives you vague time frames like ‘someone will be there within the hour’ because this usually means they are going to phone around to see who might be prepared to do the work for them on a sub-contract basis, and all too often, no-one will turn up! Other warning signs would be no actual trading address in their advert or no fixed phone line.

We have been in Bridge St since 2001 and have recently moved to larger premises a few doors up from our old shop. Some 65% of our new customers are by recommendation.

We can open most types of lock, often without damage to the door. Our locksmith is a highly experienced, full time professional with a fully equipped mobile workshop with several hundred new locks on board. This enables us to tackle all types of lock problems in the shortest possible time, mostly in one visit.

We do not charge any extra’s such as ‘callout fee’s’ or ‘mileage’ but work on a set hourly rate according to the location, time of day/night and the type of work. So you have a good idea of what costs are involved before we start work.

We can also often price the job over the phone if you need to know in advance of our visit, or provide a written quotation for more complex requirements.

If you have just bought a house we can make certain that your existing locks meet insurance requirements which is normally to British Standard BS3621:2007, or you may simply wish to change the locks because you will never know who has made copies of the key.

We can also fit locks with keys that cannot be copied without your authority. These are known as ‘restricted’ keys. This means that you will always know exactly how many keys are in circulation. We are also able to master key and suite locks so that one key opens all locks, whilst others have restricted access to certain doors.
